DEEPWATER NP TOUR  3- 4 hours

Travellers can remain on board Thumper for the duration of this morning half day 4x4 TOUR if they choose to. Thumper the Landcruiser is a spacious Toyota Landcruiser 200 series, and has large windows for sightseeing and spotting wildlife in Deepwater National Park. Travellers have the option to alight Thumper 3 times during this 1770 4x4 TOUR. The terrain is sand, uneven stairs and old beach access boardwalk in parts. Travellers use the vehicle side steps and handles to board and alight during this tour. 

EURIMBULA NP TOUR 3-4 hours

The 1770 4x4 TOURS Eurimbula National Park experience includes 2 stops. 1 stop is at Ganoonga Noonga Lookout which is a 750m walk up steep uneven natural stairs, rocks and requires moderate fitness and good balance.  During the beach stop guests can swim, stroll on the beach, relax in one of our camp chairs or throw in a hand line. Adventurers use the side steps to board and alight twice during this tour. Travellers use the vehicle side steps and handles to board and alight during this tour. 

1770 HEADLAND WALK & TALK TOUR 1.5 hours

1770 4x4 TOURS offer the 1770 HEADLAND WALK & TALK tour which is wheelchair accessible for the total duration of this tour. There is a slight hill incline/decline and where we can assist you for this section of the path if needed. The path is boardwalk or hard sealed the duration of the tour.

You will visit 2 viewing platforms to take in the beautiful vista of 1770 Headland. The pathway is part shaded and part sun. This tour is a great way to see the 1770 Headland and learn the history of the Joseph Banks Conservation area. You will alight Thumper once. Travellers use the side steps and handles to board and alight during this tour. 

SUNSET DINNER AND ASTRONOMY STAR STORYTELLING

1770 4x4 TOURS’  SUNSET DINNER AND ASTRONOMY STAR STORYTELLING TOUR is a wheelchair friendly tour. Hammocks are used to view the stars for storytime but this can be adapted to accomodate you if needed. Travellers use the vehicle side steps and handles to board and alight twice during this tour on hard even ground.

CURTIS ISLAND EXPLORE

1770 4x4 TOUR of CURTIS ISLAND EXPLORE is a wheelchair accommodating tour. We have the option to alight 4 times or stay in the vehicle with the best views of the rugged coastline regardless of inside the vehicle or out. Most surfaces are hard ground, but sand is also experienced. Travellers use the side steps and handles to board and alight during this tour. 

SUNRISE BEACH RITUALS FOR WISE WOMEN

This tour is not suitable for wheelchairs. We walk over sand and bridges and do standing exercises and swimming activities. 

BLACKMANS GAP

This tour is not suitable for wheelchairs. It is very rocky and there is a lot of scrambling, climbing and uneven ground and requires a moderate fitness, agility and strength.

MOBILITY

On board all our TOURS you can choose to do as little or as much activity as you wish. To enter our Landcruiser vehicle there are vehicle side steps, with a handle to assist you up into the seat. We will assist you if you require it. Yuou must inform us upon booking if you have mobility requirements as it alters the time schedule of the tour.

WHEELCHAIRS

With prior arrangement the 1770 4x4 TOURS can accommodate for a lightweight and compact wheelchair to be carried in the back of the vehicle or be stored at our Company base during the tours when pre planned. 1770 4x4 TOURS will assist in any way we can with travellers accessing Thumper our tour vehicle.

TRAVELLING WITH CHILDREN

Travelling with children is easier if the children are 7 and up and don’t require a child car seat. However, upon booking, if under 7 year olds are travelling with us and require a child restraint seat we need to ensure there is enough space on the particular tour. Private tour hire is preferred if accommodating a child restraint seat in the vehicle.

In case of emergencies we carry a mobile phone, first aid kit and snake bite kit. Our Eco Guide is certified in First Aid and Resuscitation.

ASSISTANCE DOGS

We welcome guests with assistance dogs on tour. We require you to inform us upon booking as the dog needs a seat booked for it also. Assistance dogs are required to have a labelled harness/collar and lead, along with a Registered Assistance Dog ID.

Domestic dogs are prohibited in National Parks and cannot join our tours. As An alternative, there are many pet sitters in town you could book them in to for the duration of the tour. 

HEARING IMPAIRED 

1770 4x4 TOURS shares loads of local knowledge about flora, fauna, the environs and history on each tour, and we don’t want you to miss out.  We pop you in the front seat next to our Eco Tour Guide to ensure you can hear the amazing storytelling as we travel through. We welcome sign language translators on our tours, at a charge of half the regular seat price to accompany us.

DIETARY REQUIREMENTS

We can order your lunch on certain tours but prefer and encourage you to supply your own food, that way you get exactly what your body requires, in the easiest possible way, and eating what you love. We generally supply sushi or salad rolls if you did order through us. Please tell us of any allergies you may have.

COMFORT

We know you will be comfortable in our purpose built vehicle. If you do require anything specific, please speak to us upon booking. We can work together to come up with a solution for you to enjoy our tour in comfort.
